I'm an electronics and firmware engineer, specialized in both Embedded Systems and System Architectural Design. While System Architecture Design is the specialization of understanding and improving the overall concept of a system, Embedded Systems is a more field-specific specialization uniting both hardware and software fields.

The architecture of a system is the single most important thing in the design of any technical system, whether this is hardware, software, a combination of them, or other fields like mechanical engineering. A properly structured system can be described as an abstract, versatile, understandable and extensible system providing a solution for the most abstract definition for the situation a product was designed for. Thoroughly designing a systems architecture is usually a lot of the work, but can easily save much more work in the long run.

A both extensive and analytic look at a problem or situation can uncover new insights and levels of abstraction in a system, resulting a more versatile, structured, abstract and simplified system. Over the past years I have seen many situations and applied many different system design, implementations, and organization strategies. Taking the time to analyze what the actual situation is, usually provides a better system architecture and therefore a better product, especially in the long term.

Recent experience includes aerospace industry products, test and measurement devices, battery design, system architecture design, IoT sensor systems, asset tracking systems and magnetic measurement systems.
